A password generator creates long, truly random passwords that humans could never guess or remember unaided — exactly why they work. This free generator runs offline in your browser using cryptographic randomness, lets you choose length (8–64) and character types, and shows a live strength meter. No signup, nothing stored, nothing sent.
Length beats cleverness. Every extra character multiplies the guesses an attacker needs. A 16-character random password from the full character pool has over 100 bits of entropy — billions of years to brute-force with current technology. A short, “clever” password like a pet's name plus a year falls in seconds, because attackers try names, dates and common patterns first.
Yes. Passwords are generated in your browser using the Web Crypto API (crypto.getRandomValues). They are never sent to a server, stored, or logged.
At least 16 characters is a strong default in 2026. Longer is better — 20 or more characters makes a password dramatically harder to crack.
Yes when a site allows them. Mixing uppercase, lowercase, numbers and symbols increases the pool of possible characters and raises strength. If a site rejects symbols, increase length instead.
No. Generate a unique password for every account and store them in a password manager. Reusing one password means one breach unlocks everything.
It estimates entropy — how many guesses an attacker would need. It is based on password length and the size of the character pool you enabled.
Never. The password exists only in this page on your device. When you leave or refresh, it is gone — copy it into your password manager right away.
Short answer: Generate strong, random passwords (8–64 characters, with numbers and symbols) in one tap — created offline in your browser, never sent anywhere.
No. Passwords are generated offline in your browser using your device's random number generator — nothing is transmitted or stored.
16+ characters with symbols is a strong default. Longer is always better for important accounts.
The password itself is cryptographically random, but always store it in a password manager — never reuse passwords.
Yes. Once the page loads, it works with no internet connection at all.
Yes. Untick Symbols and keep Uppercase, Lowercase and Numbers switched on — you get a letters-and-numbers-only password at any length from 8 to 64 characters. Handy for sites that reject special characters.
No. This password generator needs no signup and no account — open the page and generate instantly. Everything runs offline in your browser, and nothing is ever stored or sent anywhere.
