What is an age calculator?
An age calculator works out your exact age from your date of birth — not just the years, but the months and days too. It can also tell you your age on any past or future date, your total age in days or weeks, and how long is left until your next birthday.

Why exact age matters
Forms and eligibility rules rarely ask for 'about' your age. School admissions, sports leagues, insurance, pensions and official documents all work from the exact date — being a day short can matter. This calculator uses the same borrowing method you learned in school: if this month's day hasn't reached your birth day yet, the extra month hasn't completed.

How is the exact age worked out?
Years, months and days are counted separately. If the current day of the month is before your birth day, the current month is not yet complete, so one month is borrowed — the standard method used on official forms.
Does it handle leap years and February 29 birthdays?
Yes. The calculator uses real calendar dates, so leap years are handled automatically.
What day of the week was I born on?
The calculator shows it in the results — it is worked out from your birth date using your browser's calendar.
Is my birth date uploaded anywhere?
